Today was hangover central. Last night, Cole and I met up with a few people at the Seattle Art Museum's Remix event. Apparently they have these every three months or so on Friday nights, and they feature music, live performances, four bars, and, of course, art.
It was really a great time, aside from the fact that I was breaking in the shoes I mentioned a couple posts ago, which don't lend themselves to wandering the four floors of art without a wince or two. The people-watching was out of this world. One girl was frolicking around in a magenta short-shorts romper (Helloooo American Apparel ad) while another clearly intoxicated gentleman was hitting the dance floor with all his might with a grapefruit for a dance partner.
Best thing about being near a dance floor in Seattle? Tons of white guys dancing. Biggest group of people with no rhythm I've ever seen. It was awesome.
After, my new buds Emily and Jenny took us to a bar in Capitol Hill called "The Bar." This place is AWESOME! It's very classy inside, and they took the actual bar from an historic building in Pioneer Square and restored it. Incredible. Below is a picture of some of the detail work. It's a new spot, so it wasn't very busy, but at this point we'd already had our share of people-watching.

So Cole took off with one of his friends this afternoon to Vancouver to be part of the Olympics madness and I had to stay behind because of work on Monday. I have a whole day and two nights to find some trouble to get into...
